GU16 Player Patricia Dull to play for Philippines Senior Womens National Team

Patricia Dull joined the LAPFC GU16 Black team back in March 2013, just before Cal Cup. She had previously played for Santa Anita SC Strikers. Coach James Barlow and the team quickly welcomed her as they realized her hard work ethic, skill and athleticism were a perfect match. Since her arrival the LAPFC U-16 Black team has climbed in the rankings and has played thru to the finals in 2 of the 4 events they have entered. This summer, while watching a televised Boy's Philippino Soccer Team, she wondered if there was a Girl's Team. Her Google research turned up a 3rd Try Out being hosted in Corona for an up and coming U16 Team that was being developed.

She decided to attend the week long camp, the same day the team reached the final in the Carlsbad Cup. When she arrived, she learned there were girls from all over the country, mostly ECNL Level players in attendance. Patricia thought she had a good chance of making the GU16 Team. Towards the end of the week long camp, Coach Trey Scharlin approached her about an opportunity to play on the Senior National Women's Team. They needed a second goalie, and Patricia stood out as a formidable candidate. Shortly thereafter, it was made official.

Patricia flew out with the American/Philippino Team to meet the rest of the Nationals on the team August 22nd. She has been training with the team and is playing several scrimmages in preparation for the AFF Women's Championship. Their first match is Sept. 10th against Indonesia, followed by Sept. 12th against Japan, Sept. 14th against Myanmar and Sept 18th against Laos. The Champion and Runner Up will compete in the Semi Finals on Sept 20th, with the Final Championship Match on Sept.22nd. All matches are being played in Yangon, Myanmar.

Her LAPFC Black Team is extremely proud of her, and wish her the best in the coming weeks. You can follow The PHL Malditas Philippine Women's National "Football" Team at
