We have to produce performances and results on and off the field every single day. Training the players we have, creating a positive nurturing environment for them to learn and helping them realize their huge potential is a small part of what our coaching staff provides our club players. Add to that the desire to push them to the next level, including college exposure, and exceeding parental expectations and you start to get a better idea of the life of a soccer coach within LA Premier FC.
We currently have the best staff in America working with us, we want to enhance it and be able to offer different ideologies and methodologies to give our children the greatest possible chance of success.
Open Positions:
DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Job Description: Implement the “English” style of coaching to youth soccer players combined with the American coaching mentality. Plan, write and implement the soccer curriculum for all girls teams within the club. Provide and support a clear “English” soccer philosophy to all coaches who in turn will implement to all players and other coaches. Oversee coaching instruction, including team direction, soccer skills and technique training, discipline, guidance, and instruction in the fundamentals of team sports. Oversee team practice sessions to focus on drills and improvement of players’ skills, conditioning and teamwork. Liaise with schools within the local area to promote the LAPFC style of play and hold clinics and soccer programs for youths in the area. Liaise between the EDOC and LAPFC to install current development philosophies. Write evaluations for players and coaches. Hold regular meetings with coaches on the club’s philosophy and ways to improve the club. Perform all other player development duties.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Sports Science or a related field, plus one (1) year of soccer coaching experience. Qualifying experience must include developing and implementing a soccer coaching curriculum and writing the soccer curriculum for youth programs. Must have at least a level 1 Football Association (FA) license in coaching football (soccer).
Yearly Salary: $40,000/year
Hours of employment: 8:30AM – 5:30PM M-F
