Parents, Players and Families of LA Premier FC,
           
I hope you and your families are well and whether or not you are playing in State tournaments or beginning the season with your new team, that you are enjoying watching your children develop into competitive athletes.  As a club, we look to support and improve everyone’s soccer experience.  As we prepare for a new season in CSL, we look to make our LAPFC brand even better.  Our Directors have been busy planning the season’s curriculum to get the most from our players.  We are completing LAPFC’s first Parent’s Handbook to be published in May, containing information on what you should expect from our parents, players, coaches and club.
 
Along with improving our soccer program we have moved forward with our long-term goal of having a presence in the Santa Clarita Valley.  We have been diligently pursuing the growth of the LAPFC brand and to that end, I would like welcome to the LA Premier FC family, Santa Clarita United (SCU).  Along with input and support from their coaching staff, the Board of Directors at SCU voted unanimously to merge with our club.   
 
LAPFC’s Directors feel the SCU culture  and vision  as a club is aligned with ours making the addition of the SCU teams an excellent   enhancement  to our club and will give SCU’s players more visibility, not only locally but at regional and national levels.  With the inception of the National Premier League for boys this year and the girls in 2013, we will be able to provide our players more exposure.  During the coming weeks LAPFC and SCU will be engaged in the due diligence necessary to create a smooth transition.  As we move forward, I am sure you will see the advantage of having a greater presence in the Santa Clarita Valley and as always-positive growth to our LAPFC family.
 
I am also proud to say we have some of the finest youth soccer coaches in the country and the additions we have made this year are no different. I would like to welcome to our family and introduce our new coaches:
 
Jim Barlow- Assistant Coach at Cal Poly Pomona’s Women’s Soccer
Andrea ‘Friday’ Camaclang – Former Professional Player and Philippine’s Women’s National Team
Erika Prado – Professional Soccer player in the US and in Russia, competing in the Women’s Champions League this year, formerly of Legends FC.
Ricardo Calatroni joins us from Beach FC and Pedro Najera from Galaxy Alliance.
Joshua Ault, joins us from Village Christian School where he serves as the Sports Program Director.
 
We would also like to announce and congratulate Antoinette Love on accepting the Head Coach Position for Women’s Soccer at University of La Verne.
 
So many exciting things happening here at LAPFC, we are excited to share them with you.  As always, we thank you for your support of our club.

]]> http://www.lapremierfc.com/home/627764.html GU11 Win the Simi Valley Spring Cup 05/09/2012 04:22 PM http://www.lapremierfc.com/home/624434.html  In the teams first tournament playing 11v11 they were able to put all the training and hard work over the past few months to the test. With the addition of 7 players to the team it was a tremendous showing throughout the Simi Valley Spring Cup Tournament.
 
The first game on Saturday against Dynamite was tight during the 1st half, going down 1-0 the team kept fighting and were able to add a goal 2 minutes before the half ended. The team carried that momentum into the 2nd half and were determined to play better soccer and finish there chances on goal. The end result proved the team did care of those chances, winning 4-1.
 
The second game of the day was a tough test against Ajax FC Red 2000. The team battled throughout the game and kept fighting against a bigger and stronger team. New goalkeeper Karla Espinal came up big with a few key saves and was credited with an assistant. The final was a well-deserved 2-1 win for the team.
 
Sunday morning the score line was a bit different. The team was well in control of the game against the Panthers leading 3-1, but with 5 minutes left the Panthers put the team under a bit of pressure and tied the game 3-3. It was a definite learning lesson for the team, which was well utilized in the Championship game, against the Dynamite again. This was a very different game from the start. Withstanding the pressure and attacking play of the Dynamite in the 1st half the team’s defensive focus allowed them to keep the game scoreless at half. The game was tight matched throughout the 2nd half; midway through the half Allyson Hernandez scored the game winner by capitalizing on a rebound.
 
This is the team’s 1st tournament victory and the players are excited to start preparing for thire next tournament over Memorial Day weekend.

The team went 4-0 in the tournament, with wins over Simi Valley Eclipse and the Camarillo Eagles.  The team beat Real So Cal Blue 3-2 in an extremely exciting final.

 

The girls had fun and learned a lot.

Ami and Alyssa are among a pool of only 48 players selected, from the whole country, to represent the United States at the U14 age. Both girls are members of the LA Premier FC GU14 team coached by Manny Martins.
 
"It is a great complement for the girls to be recognized by U.S. Soccer as part of the best U14 players in the United States", said coach Manny.

In their 1st tournament since returning from the high school break, and also in their 1st under new coach Eddie Garcia, the L.A. Premier FC GU 15 White team captured the GU15 championship at the 13th FC Man United Cup, played March 24 & 24 at Veterans Park in Pomona.   An early goal by midfielder Cassy Quiring was enough to defeat Fullerton Rangers 1-0 in the Sunday afternoon finale, in a cold windy downpour.  

 

Despite missing key personnel to injuries and personal absences, the team showed dominance throughout the tournament.   The team’s defensive group was especially impressive, not allowing a goal throughout the tournament.   Competition for the team began with an initial 1-0 victory over Fullerton Rangers, with Emma Piniero scoring the match’s only goal, redirecting Jennifer Lopez’s out swinging corner with beautiful d header.    Later Saturday the team defeated Irvine Premier FC 1-0 on a Cassy Quiring goal, assisted by Izzy Dou.   In their Sunday morning match the team defeated Diamond Bar Legacy 4-0 featuring a Kayla Valencia brace, and goals by Bailey Simmons and Nora Johnson.   Many other chances were create, and the team rarely came close to being threatened during these matches.

 

This is the team’s 2nd consecutive tournament victory, after capturing a Nomads Thanksgiving Tournament crown just  before breaking for high school soccer, after a highly successful fall 2011 CSL Silver Elite season.   Coach Garcia and the players are now preparing for and looking forward to, a strong run in State Cup in April!

Richard got on the scoresheet against CUBA in their 4-0 win.

The qualification tournament will be played in the USA from 22 March to 2 April 2012. The 8 participating teams will be divided into two groups of 4, with the group winners playing the runner-up from the other group in the semi-final stage. The two teams that reach the final will qualify for the men’s Olympic Football Tournament in London.

]]> http://www.lapremierfc.com/home/612172.html Girls battle the Elements to take the FC Man UTD Cup! 03/26/2012 07:01 PM http://www.lapremierfc.com/home/612191.html The girls were in fine form this weekend, even if the weather wasnt!  We won our group games 5-0 and 3-0.  We beat FC Man United in the semi final and then went onto beat SC Athletic Blackout 5-0 in the final.  The girls played at an excellent tempo for the entire weekend.  We combined a very fluid passing game with a very strong defensive performance even managing to not concede a single goal.  The teams had no answer for our direct wide attacks with Eleni and Andrea causing major problems both on the right and the left.  Our captain Taylor made numerous driving attacks from central midfield and Clarissa was on fine form scoring a hat trick.  Our team policy states that any player who scores a hat trick in a single game their parents have to buy pizza at the end of practice, lol.  So the girls also have that to look forward to.  Fine performances all round from the LAPFC girls!!!

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Dec. 7, 2011) – US Club Soccer has announced the creation of the Southern California National Premier League as the newest addition to the organization’s National Premier Leagues (NPL).
 
The NPL has been created to provide a national developmental platform with the highest level of competition in given geographic areas, and to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape based upon fundamental principles in US Club Soccer’s 10-year vision.
 
The Southern California National Premier League, which will include U-13 through U-17 boys, is comprised of eight clubs:
 
  • Albion SC (Calif.)
  • Carlsbad Elite (Calif.)
  • DMS11 (Calif.)
  • Fullerton Rangers (Calif.)
  • Heat FC (Nev.)
  • Los Angeles Premier FC (Calif.)
  • Las Vegas Soccer Academy (Nev.)
  • Santa Barbara SC (Calif.)
 
Set to kick off in spring 2012, Southern California National Premier League participating teams will play a regular-season schedule with winning teams in each age group advancing to the inaugural National Premier Leagues Champions Cup in July 2012.
 
"With the creation of the Southern California National Premier League, this will provide a great vehicle and platform for top clubs and top teams to compete and provide exposure opportunities above and beyond what exists,” said Albion SC Technical Director Noah Gins. “I look forward to helping this league push forward and establish itself as an elite program with real opportunities for the clubs."
 
“The creation of the Southern California National Premier League helps reinforce US Club Soccer’s expansion throughout the state of California and into Nevada,” said US Club Soccer Executive Vice President Christian Lavers. “The Southern California National Premier League joins the NorCal Premier League, an inaugural member of the NPL.”
 
The Southern California National Premier League is comprised of six clubs from Southern California and two from the Las Vegas area of Nevada, which serves to further strengthen the league. In all, the NPL now includes 11 leagues across the United States:

  • Gulf States Premier League
  • Midwest Developmental League
  • New England Premier League
  • NorCal Premier League

After hard fought games against Beach Fc (1-1), West Covina (3-0) they advanced to the semi’s. After defeating a strong Newport Mesa SC Breakers team 3-0 they moved on to face Beach FC in the final and ran out Champions in a 5-1 win.
