LA PREMIER FC ANNOUNCE PROMOTION OF COACH BEN STILLWELL TO YOUNGER BOYS AGE GROUP COORDINATOR
LA CANADA, CA. — Los Angeles Premier Futbol Club have promoted Ben Stillwell to Younger Boys Age Group Coordinator on a permanent basis, effective January 1, 2018.
“The review of Ben’s tenure here at LA Premier as a coach has coincided with our review of our club structure and our desire to afford more resources to our younger boys teams by hiring a dedicated professional to aid our Boys Director of Coaching, Rod Lafaurie, in optimizing our impact at this crucial segment of our organization. After detailing the demands of the position, and our desires in a coordinator, they aligned perfectly with the feedback and evaluation of Ben’s year with his teams.” said LAPFC Executive Director, Barry Ritson.
Ritson added, “His character, integrity, and leadership skills he displayed during the last few years at our club makes him the right fit for LA Premier long-term. Ben is an outstanding person, who will help us build this club the right way. He has experience as a head coach and a track record for developing young players in this age group, and he also brings continuity for our parents.”
Stillwell has 4 years of LA Premier coaching experience, joining the club for the 2013/14 Fall Season. He has delivered sessions based on the club curriculum and has been consistently applauded for his overall performance by the Directors and families of the players he has coached.
This role will include aiding the coaches manage their teams, implementing the club curriculum, working alongside the Boys DOC to facilitate new programs, recruit and scout new players, increase dialogue and representation of the club with all younger boys teams on the field at training and at games, as well as advocate for teams and coaches with leadership at the club.
“I am honored to accept the position as Youngers Boys Coordinator, and appreciate the opportunity. In this new role, I will actively engage my colleagues on a daily basis, work cooperatively with the DOC's, and use my experience to help the club progress and continue to be one of the most competitive clubs in the region.” Said Stillwell.
Stillwell will also be afforded opportunities to work alongside the US Development Academy Staff, pursue more educational opportunities supported by the club and increase his knowledge of the game as well as technology and systems being implemented club-wide for the 2018/19 Season.
We are excited for Ben to increase his influence on more of our teams and players and get to know more of our families in the upcoming months.
